Humans aren't made of cells or atoms. We're made of stories.

Humans aren't made of cells or atoms. We're made of stories.

Throw a thousand statistics at someone and nothing moves. Show them one thing, close and specific and true, and they change.

In a world full of psychologically optimized hooks, humans are hungry for something else. For something with soul. Something with depth. A story worth watching.

I started making videos because I got dumped.

We'd been together a few months when I did something I'm not proud of, and she left. I spent two months getting my act together, and then I made her a film to win her back.

It worked. And it's still one of the films I'm most proud of.

I'd been editing since I was a kid. Camcorder shorts with my brothers, editing software for Christmas the year I turned twelve, more than a hundred notebooks filled along the way. But I never thought of film as the work.

It was the thing I loved and didn't have time for. My partner, Madelyn, was the one who said it: Albert, you're good at this. You should do it for other people.

So I did. A few films for her, then a couple for friends. It grew from there.

Strasser Studio is a one-person studio making films for people building something that matters.

A somatic facilitator running retreats. A leadership coach helping women come alive. A men's-work facilitator guiding men through initiation.

A film like this is for the person crossing from amateur to professional. It tells your audience this is real, this is serious. Here's where I was. Here's where I am. Here's where I'm going. Come with me.

I don't have formal training, so I'm not boxed in by what a film is supposed to be. I start with a rough outline, then I look for the thread. Most of that is groping around in the dark, not sure it'll come. It always comes.

Then I watch the thing take shape, and when it does I get so excited that I often literally am like…whooping from my office.

But what actually moves someone isn't a formula. It's presence.

My job is to attune to you and your work, and pull the best out of both.

I use AI in my process. As a tool, not a maker. The work is mine.

The meditation practice taught me one thing that carries straight into this: treat the not-knowing as the doorway, not the enemy. Every shoot, every edit, I try to empty out and stay with what's actually in front of me instead of what I planned. That's where the alive footage comes from.

If your work is the kind that deserves a film, I'd love to make it with you.
